Tyler Prochnow is a seasoned entrepreneur who has started multiple businesses in the past decade with several large scale exits. He is currently the CEO of Wootz, Inc. Prochnow brings nearly two decades of experience working with early stage companies and nearly 15 years in the technology/IoT space. Prior to joining Wootz, Prochnow was a senior partner and co-founder of Think Big Partners, a nationwide resource for startups and early stage companies that included office space, consulting and venture capital. Prochnow’s role with Think Big primarily revolved around providing the company’s clients with insight, consulting and advice on the difficult issues facing entrepreneurs. With a legal background and as the founder and operator of multiple business ventures, Prochnow drew upon his own personal experiences to assist TBP clients through the difficult stages of their business lifecycle.
Prior to Think Big, Prochnow was the Founder, Co-Owner and President of the Kansas City Brigade of the Arena Football League franchise from its inception until January 2007. Before the Brigade, Tyler served as the Founder and President of Golden Peak Sports & Entertainment, a full service sports representation agency that worked with clients in various sports, including Deion Sanders, Neil Smith, and Olympians Amy Van Dyken and Aly Wagner.
On the personal side, Mr. Prochnow graduated from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia in 1988 with a degree in political science and a minor in economics. After several years working in politics with a stint in the White House, Tyler went back to school and obtained his law degree from the University of Denver College of Law. Tyler worked as an attorney specializing in corporate transactions and M&A law for seven years before starting Golden Peak. Mr. Prochnow also serves as an adjunct professor at William Jewell College in Kansas City, teaching an upper level course on sports business.
