About Current Board Co.

Current Board Co. is building a premium inflatable electric stand-up paddleboard (eSUP) that makes electric watersports more accessible, portable, and easy to use. Traditional electric watercraft are expensive, bulky, and difficult to transport, limiting adoption to niche users. We solve this by combining high-performance electric propulsion with an inflatable SUP form factor that fits in a car, sets up in minutes, and requires no dock, trailer, or special storage.

Our product integrates a centrally mounted, shrouded electric drive, modular battery system, and smart electronics into a rugged inflatable board designed for stability, durability, and performance. The result is a quiet, zero-emission watercraft that expands the use cases of paddleboarding—from recreation and fitness to exploration and light utility—without the learning curve or logistics of traditional powered boats.

We serve three core customer segments. Firstly, consumers looking for an easy entry into electric watersports or folks that may physically struggle to stay on the water longer without an electric assist. Secondly, rental operators and resorts seeking durable, low-maintenance fleet equipment. Lastly, yacht owners and marinas looking for compact, electric tenders and water toys.

The founding team previously built and scaled a more complex electric hydrofoil business, giving us deep experience in marine electrification, battery systems, global manufacturing, and go-to-market execution. Current Board Co. applies those learnings to a significantly larger and more accessible market, positioning electric SUP as the gateway product for the future of clean, recreational marine mobility.

In parallel, we are actively progressing through engineering and prototyping milestones, with propulsion, battery, and board integration underway, positioning us to move rapidly toward demo-ready hardware and broader customer validation.
